Most of the Institutes of Symbiosis offer Hostel Facilities to the students Well-furnished separate hostel accommodation is available for both boys and girls. International Students are given priority for Hostel accommodation.

 
 Hostel Facility at Vishvabhavan & Model Colony:

The Vishwabhavan Hostel is located on the Symbiosis Society campus on Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. Symbiosis

The capacity of the Vishwabhavan Symbiosis Boys & Symbiosis Girls hostel is 110. The hostel has semi furnished rooms. These rooms are divided into two/three seater rooms. These rooms are divided into two/three seater rooms.

All students residing in the Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Boys & Symbiosis Girls Hostel would be able to avail of facilities including a common T.V. Hall, and Generator Back up. Use of Mess facilities and Health Club facilities are mandatory for all opting to live in the Vishwabhavan Hostel.

The Vishwabhavan hostel facility is available to students who have applied to Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC), Symbiosis College of Nursing ( SCON).

Symbiosis has another girl’s hostel situated at Model Colony, Next to Atur Centre, Gokhale Cross Road, Pune. This is one and half kilometer away from the Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Campus, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. The capacity of this hostel is 132.

This Symbiosis Hostel Model Colony is available to students who have applied to English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis(ELTIS), Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research(SICSR), Symbiosis Institute of Geo Informatics(SIG) and Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC)only.

 Symbiosis Kirkee Campus Girls & Boys Hostel:


Another Symbiosis residential Campus, located at Range Hills, Kirkee, Pune is a home away from home facility for all girls & boys who come to study at Symbiosis, Pune.

The hostel has a total of 64 spacious, semi furnished rooms for Girls as well as 114 spacious, semi furnished rooms for boys where 192 girls and 342 boys can be accommodated.

This Kirkee Campus Hostel is a residential campus and available to students who have applied to Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) only.

 Symbiosis Viman Nagar Hostel:

Symbiosis has another hostel at Viman Nagar Campus. The hostel has a total capacity of 375 girls and 40 boys, limited seats are there so first cum first served.

The Symbiosis Viman Nagar Hostel is available to students who have applied to Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies – Undergraduate ( SCMS- UG), Symbiosis Institute of Design Institute( SID), Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication – UG ( SIMC- UG) only.

Students wishing to avail the hostel facility need to speak with the Institute for booking the hostel rooms while confirming there seats at the institute.

 Symbiosis Infotech Campus Girls & Boys Hostel:

The Symbiosis Infotech Hostel is located at Symbiosis Infotech Campus, Plot No. 15,Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi, MIDC, Pune 411057.

The hostel has a total of 112 spacious, semi furnished rooms for Girls as well as 112 spacious, and semi furnished rooms for boys where 336 girls and 336 boys can be accommodated.

The Infotech Campus Hostel is a residential campus and available to students who have applied to Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development ( SCMHRD), Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) and Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT) only.

Students residing in the Hostel would be able to avail of facilities including Laundry facility (including Ironing), a General Store, Juice and Espresso Coffee Bar, Cafeteria, STD Booth, Xerox Shop with Computer Print Out facility, Beauty Parlor for Ladies, ATM Counter (State Bank of India) and & Health Care Centre.

Some Rules and Regulation for Symbiosis Hostel:
  1. Each room of a Symbiosis hostel is equipped with a bed, a mattress, a pillow, a table, a chair, a cupboard and a soft board. These rooms are also provided with an attached bathroom.
  1. All Symbiosis campuses are “No Smoking” Campuses. Students shall not bring, take and / or drink any alcohol/intoxicating drink, drug or any similar thing of any kind whatsoever and/or smoke in the room and/or any part of the premises; the same shall apply to visitors also. In case of default, a strict disciplinary action, amounting to rustication from the hostel/institute, will be taken.
  1. There is a strict code of conduct practiced at all Symbiosis Hostels. Students wishing to stay in Symbiosis Hostel will have to abide by code of conduct.
  1. The applicant, who will be granted admission, shall strictly adhere to the Rules and Regulations and in token of his/her acceptance, shall sign the declaration.
  1. Proper Dress: The students should be decently dressed when they are out of the rooms. As to what is a decent dress, the decision of the Rector shall be final. Thus, tight body hugging clothes, short skirts, short tops etc. are forbidden outside the room.
  1. Medical: It is mandatory for all students staying in the hostel to undergo medical check-up provided by Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC). It is mandatory for all students to take medical insurance and Health Club membership from the SCHC. Any hostel student who is not well shall immediately report to the SCHC and avail of treatment given by the SCHC Doctors.
  1. The Rector has the discretion to inspect any room, at any time.
  1. The student shall not carry on any political or communal activity, which is detrimental to the law and order and/or against the Government and shall not carry on any propaganda or publicity of any nature whatsoever in respect of any thing or any matter including political or communal matters.
  1. Night Out/Late Out Permission: No student will be allowed to remain absent between 10.30pm to 6.00am without previous written permission from the Rector on a ‘Night Out’ or a ‘Late Out ’. Even when permission for a late out is taken 12.30 a.m. is the deadline. No more than three night outs and three late outs are allowed in a month.
    • Night out / Late out permission for personal reason: -
      - Fax or letter by parents / Local Guardian should be submitted.

    • Night out / Late out permission for Academic reason
      - Letter by Director or Principal of the concerned institute should be submitted.
      All Hostelites must take prior permission for night out and late out and submit the same to the concerned person. Please note that failing submission of the night out / late out will result in a fine of Rs.500/- to be levied on the student. Three such acts will lead to rustication of the student.
  1. Only in medical emergencies Hostelites can contact the Rector directly for such permission. In cases where the hostelites have taken the permission for more than one night out, it is to be noted that such students during the mentioned period will not be allowed in the hostel even during the daytime.
  1. Electricity Restrictions: No electric appliance shall be permitted in the room, failing which the rector will have the right to confiscate the gadget. The lights in the bathroom should be used only as and when necessary and shall not be kept on when the bathroom is not in use. While leaving the room the student should take care to put off the lights and fans without fail. In case of default a fine of Rs. 50/- will be charged on every such occasion. Lights will be put off from 12.30 a.m. until 5 a.m. Only fans will be allowed to be kept on during this period. Except during examination period this period will be 1 a.m. to 4 a.m.
  1. Visitors: Visitors (Parents & Friends) are allowed to visit the student only in the visitors’ lobby on the service floor between 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. on working days and between 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on Sundays and public holidays. No student shall keep talking with visitors in the compound either in or outside the gate / lane. No student shall take any visitor including his/her parents to the room. Personal servants / domestic helpers are also not allowed inside the rooms.
  1. Student shall take prior written permission of the Rector before giving any information or interview regarding hostel to any member of the Press, Radio, Television or any other media or before making any speech containing any information regarding the hostel.

The Management has right to discontinue hostel accommodation given to the student on account of misconduct and/or violation of rules & regulations.
