| Orientation |
Over the years it was observed that the first time student visitor to India (and by extension, to Pune) found it difficult to adjust to the new physical, social and cultural environment. In many cases, months went by before a student truly settled in. Although the International Office has been assisting all such students, an organized effort to address their common concerns was lacking.
In 2007, the International Office introduced an Orientation Program for all international students who have joined Symbiosis Institutes. The aim of the Orientation program was to acquaint students with the Symbiosis family, rules and regulations of the University, importance of legal procedures, medical facilities available and other miscellaneous matters of importance and interest for international students during their stay in India. The International Students' Orientation was organized on 21st July 2009 and the Chief Guest for this event was Shri. Ravindra Sengaonkar, Deputy Commissioner of Police.
