Nanyang Technological University
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Symbiosis International University. Under this MoA, both institutions have agreed to establish an affiliation for the purpose of academic co-operation and international co-operative education, through exchange of academic information under the Study India Programme, organized by the International Office of Symbiosis. 5 students from NTU completed the first SIP in 2006 and subsequently, 10 students completed the second SIP in January 2008. |

Los Angeles Paramedical Institute, USA
The Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Services (PGDEMS) Course is recognized by the Los Angeles
Paramedic Training Institute, USA.
The Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Systems Agency serves as the lead agency for
the emergency medical services system in the County and is responsible for coordinating all system participants
in its jurisdiction, encompassing both public and private sectors. In California, counties have been given
the primary responsibility for assuring that EMS systems are developed and implemented and for designating
a local EMS agency. The intent is that counties will be the smallest unit for planning and implementation
of EMS systems.
Having celebrated thirty years of leadership in 1999-2000, Los Angeles County has one of the largest EMS systems
in the nation and, as one of the first to be developed, is known nationally and worldwide as a leader in
the field of prehospital care. The system utilizes over 18,000 certified EMS personnel employed by fire
departments, law enforcement, ambulance companies, hospitals and private organizations to provide lifesaving
care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In June 2008, Symbiosis International University signed an Memoram of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Houston, USA.
The MoU was signed in an effort to expand programs in the international arena for both universities. The University of Houston M.B.A. stands at fifth place among public universities in America. It has faculties of Technology, Libral Arts, Hotel Management and International Business. As part of the exchange University of Houston will be sending its students on short term Study India Programs as well as Semester Exchange Programs and vice versa. Collaboratives efforts in areas of research by faculty are also proposed. |
