Symbiosis Centre for Alumni Engagement

Prof. (Dr.) S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President, Symbiosis, and Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), established Symbiosis in 1971 on the core values of interdependence, co-existence, cooperation, compassion, mutual trust, love, and harmony, for the welfare of international students.

Founded on the guiding principle of Symbiosis, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – The World is One Family,” the Symbiosis Centre for Alumni Engagement (SCAE) nurtures and strengthens a lifelong relationship with alumni of Symbiosis constituents namely Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU), Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC) and Symbi-Schools.

SCAE is the only Official Symbiosis Alumni Network that works across Symbiosis alumni spread across the globe.

Each Symbiosis alumnus is an integral contributor to the continuing success story of the Symbiosis. While alumni remain deeply connected to the institutes from which they graduate, SCAE serves as a unified platform that enables them not only to reconnect with their own institute but also to interact and engage with alumni across all Symbiosis institutes, fostering a truly integrated SCAE - Official Symbiosis Alumni Network.

SCAE Engagement, Collaboration and Global Connect Initiative

As part of its engagement initiatives, SCAE works closely with Symbiosis alumni to understand emerging ideas and enable new initiatives at national and international levels. This includes:

  1. Formation of Alumni Chapters across regions. Symbiosis Alumni Network – Dubai Chapter was inaugurated on 14 November 2024.
  2. Participation in social responsibility initiatives and community outreach.
  3. Alumni involvement in healthcare initiatives of Symbiosis.
  4. Strengthening alumni representation in academic, professional, institutional forums and academic committee.
  5. SCAE also enables alumni to pursue their aspirations in innovation and entrepreneurship by connecting them with the Symbiosis innovation and incubation ecosystem.
  6. SCAE invites Alumni to participate in the guest lectures, mentoring sessions, Industry exposure visits, career guidance workshops, national and international seminars, conferences, and technical events to showcase their expertise and accomplishments.
  7. Alumni play a vital role in giving back to their alma mater through meaningful CSR initiatives, including education, women empowerment, sustainability, quality healthcare for the underprivileged, development at Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC).
  8. Encourages alumni to share their journeys, experiences, and professional updates, and facilitates continuous interaction between alumni, students, faculty, and the institution.
  9. Showcases alumni achievements and milestones through “WOW Wednesday” and cherish their memories through “Throwback Thursday” - nostalgia series.

SCAE (Symbiosis Alumni Official Network) continues to uphold the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” by transforming alumni relationships into meaningful partnerships that contribute to institutional growth, student success, and societal impact.
