International Women’s Day Celebrated at Symbiosis International(Deemed University)

International Women’s Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Lavale campus, on 7th March 2026. The programme was graced by Sou. Manjusha Deepak Nagpure, Hon’ble Mayor of Pune Municipal Corporation, as the Chief Guest. The celebration began with the invocation and lamp lighting ceremony. Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost, Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences and Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, SIU addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment. The event also witnessed the launch of the ‘Sanjivani’ Initiative by Mrs. Sanjivani Mujumdar and the felicitation of the Women Achievers Award winners. The programme concluded with the presidential address by Prof. (Dr.) S. B. Mujumdar and an engaging session titled “Beat of HER Power.”
