A Special Convocation Ceremony at SIU Lavale Campus

A Special Convocation of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) was successfully held on Tuesday, 24 March 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Auditorium, SIU Hilltop Campus, Lavale, Pune, marking a significant occasion in the University’s academic calendar. On this distinguished occasion, Sushilkumar Shinde, a veteran statesman, was conferred the Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to society and public service. The event was graced by Raghunath A. Mashelkar, former Director General of CSIR and an eminent scientist, who attended as the Chief Guest and delivered the convocation address, inspiring the audience with his insights and vision. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) S. B. Mujumdar, Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), whose presence added to the dignity of the occasion.
