Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar Pro-Chancellor Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has been awarded the prestigious QIMPRO Gold Standard Award in the Education Category by QIMPRO FOUNDATION for her exemplary contribution in the education sector.

SIU-AIU Uni 20 Conference: The SIU-AIU Uni 20 conference centered on the theme, "The Future of Universities: Making the World a Better Place to Live in - the Transformative Role of Universities " was held from 19th to 21st June, 2023 at the university’s Lavale, Pune campus. This prestigious conference witnessed 400 delegates from 46 countries comprising distinguished professionals, experts, and scholars from education & industries who exchanged knowledge, shared insights, and engaged in stimulating discussions on the theme of ‘Universities of Future’.

Inauguration of the Symbiosis Studio Kitchen: The state of the art ; one of a kind ‘Symbiosis Studio Kitchen’ was inaugurated at the hands of Prof. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Mrs. Mujumdar, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Mrs. Alyona Kapoor on 6th April, 2023 at the Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts, Lavale, Pune Campus.

A moment of absolute pride that two of Symbiosis International University alumni have worked on the Oscar award winning Best Documentary short film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’. Garima Pura (Batch 2017) of Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication is the writer, and Raghav Khanna (Batch 2011) of Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (UG) is the producer of the documentary. The documentary has won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short at the Oscars 2023.

Kartikeya Goel student at Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, NOIDA has represented India and won a silver medal in "The 18th Asian Senior, 20th Asian cadet, Junior & U21, and 1st Asian Para Karate Championship 2022" in his participating category. This is a continental tournament in which all leading countries from Asia participate. Kartikeya is also ranked 6th in the world in his category.

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) signed an MoU with Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA) on 6th October 2022. MSFDA was established by Maharashtra State under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 to impart training to the faculty of Higher and Technical Education Institutions of Maharashtra. Under this MoU, the Symbiosis Teaching Learning Resource Centre (STLRC) of SIU will train the teachers in Higher Education in Techno Pedagogy and Andragogy for Active Learning (TAAL).

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is ranked between 801-1000 Globally in the Overall category, 437th in Citation rank globally, and 23rd among Indian Universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.

Millennium Fellowship awarded for one more year: As a testament to the individual and collective commitment of our students and their positive impact locally and globally, the students of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Pune have been awarded the Millennium Fellowship by the United Nations Academic Impact and MCN for one more year. The Fellowship unites and supports undergraduate leadership for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This year, there were 30,000+ applicants from 2,400+ campuses. 200 campuses (just 8%) in 37 nations have been selected to host 3,000+ Millennium Fellows in the Class of 2022.

Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International University and Founder & President, Symbiosis has been bestowed with the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' for reshaping the world of education through his inspiring contributions. The Chancellor received the award at the hands of Shri. Nitin Gadkariji Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Govt of India and Shri Devendra Fadnavis Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra at the prestigious Pune Festival.

Navbharat Group has bestowed the award for 'Excellence in Medical Education' on Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Dean Faculty of Health Sciences and Director, Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences.

The Symbiosis School for Culinary Arts (SSCA) has won the 'Best Cookery School of the Year- India 2022' award at the *“Food Connoisseurs India Awards”* held at Leela Ambience Hotel New Delhi on 23rd May 2022.

QS world university ranking by subject 2022 has ranked Symbiosis International (Deemed University) between 501-550 in the World, 11th in India, and 2nd Private Institution in India for Business & Management under Business & Management (a sub category in Social Science and Management).
